Jimmie Arthur Keeton, Combat Medic, 1st Bn 320th Artillery, Vietnam, passed away on September 1, 2021 peacefully with his family by his side.  Jimmie fought Agent Orange cancer for a decade but the Beast finally won.  Jimmie served honorably in Vietnam and at Ft. Sam Houston after that tour to participate in the Physicians Assistant Program there where he was promoted from Specialist Six to Warrant Officer 1.  Finishing his contract with the Army, Jimmie attended college then started building Keeton Industries into an international company.  He traveled the world promoting fish and shrimp farms, providing them with the equipment and materials to complete their own farms.  You might say he assisted in feeding the world.
Jimmie Keeton never met a stranger.  He would approach anyone and engage them in meaningful conversation.

Jim offered the grounds of his ranch for the Rocky Mountain Eagles annual picnic each June even sometimes when he did not feel like it.  He is our friend.
He also offered the ranch for Rocky Mountain Rendezvous II where veterans from across the States came and enjoyed a week of camping, great food, fishing and hiking at no cost thanks to Jim’s and his partner’s,  LTC Jimmy Blackmon, and others efforts to gain donations for the event.

Jim was a kind soul that would do anything for anyone. A past president of our Rocky Mountain Eagles Chapter, past president of the 101st Airborne Division Association and member of many committees there. He was a devout worker still for his veteran family. He will be dearly missed.  He was a devout person who believed that doing good for others was not a duty, it was a joy.
