The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, mostly referred to as the “Punchbowl,” sits in an ancient volcano crater on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and is one of the most beautiful National cemeteries. Such notables as Ernie Pyle, Senator Daniel Inouye and a very large number of Medal of Honor awardees are buried here.
